Biosequestration
If you want to create your own carbon sink and understand the carbon value of your land we have the skills and experience to help you achieve this.
The Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) provides opportunities to develop land-based projects that reduce emissions and provide many benefits to land owners including:
- salinity control
- improved soil management
- enhanced water quality
- increased water capture
- increased biodiversity
- providing habitat for wildlife
- rehabilitation of degraded farm land to return some of the plant cover that used to grow there originally
- increasing the connectivity of the landscape - i.e. linking nearby existing areas of native vegetation, which facilitates the movement of animals and plant species through the landscape
We have trained many groups and individuals on the meaning and practicalities of the CFI.
